Hymn #6... Redeemer of Israel

Redeemer of Israel,
Our only delight,
On whom for a blessing we call,
Our shadow by day
And our pillar by night,
Our King, our Deliv'rer, our all!

Wow. What a powerful song. I know that Jesus Christ is our Redeemer. He is the God of Israel, our King, and I know that He has delivered us from pain and torment through His Atonement.

I love this hymn. The harmony is great:)

Hymn # 5...High on the Mountain Top

For there we shall be taught
The law that will go forth

I love this hymn of rejoicing. The organ during church services brings the message of joy to life. The LDS General Conference is one of the many places we can be taught the Lord's laws for us today. I'm so grateful for the inspired messages and the ever-attentive Spirit that dwells in the Conference.

That he on Zion's hill
Truth's standard would unfold!

Those of the LDS faith understand that the Second Coming is near; that Christ our Savior will come again to the Earth to cleanse and purify the wickedness that has encompassed it. Those who have done all that we could and are still trying and keeping His commandments need not fear; "Truth's standard" will be here to stay.

I love music. There is a power and emotion that words cannot express.

Hymn #4...Truth Eternal

Truth eternal, truth divine

I hate lying. I am a hypocrite, though, because I have lied--but I really do hate it. I've been doing better with it, but, really, being honest is your best bet (if you bet) because you only have to remember something once; the truth.

Don't lie. It's bad. You feel good because you "covered something up" or you "earned someone's trust" or you "made someone like you more"--but really, it'll come back to haunt you and then you have to be humiliated by the fact that you made a stupid decision that might've seemed good at the time.

Take my advice; telling a lie will only help you here on Earth, but will only hurt you in Heaven. Your Father in Heaven knows your heart and your intentions--so don't lie.

Hymn #3...Now Let Us Rejoice (cont'd)

(Wow it's been a long time)

Then Jesus will say to all Israel, "Come home!"

I can't wait for that day. I don't want to die or cut my life short by any means--but I want to see Him. Hopefully He'll be proud of me. I'm not perfect (far from) and I know He doesn't expect me to be perfect. But I know that He loves me and has helped me many times throughout my life.

So now I'll rejoice because I'm trying my best to be my best. I'm trying to help others and I'm trying to be patient (that's one I'm not too good at). And I know that my Heavenly Father knows I love Him and His Gospel.
